WHAT IS A RUNE READING
The runes are the fundamental forces of the universe that describe a cyclic process, they can describe how a tree grows and how our mind works, so we may better utilize the lessons of nature. The runes bring us closer to natural cycles, wisdom and understanding.
The runes are everywhere around us, multiple runes and cycles overlapping, connecting and affecting one another that weaves the web of your life. Sometimes this weaving can become harder for us to see or understand, this is where rune readings can be helpful. They offer a snapshot of the weaving energies and help us gain perspective so that we can reengage with what is happening with more tools and clarity.
The wisdom gained by a rune reading is prophetic and pragmatic as it can describe how things have lead you to a situation and how that situation will pan out, but the outcome is yours to determine by integrating the knowledge gained by the runes in your everyday life.
THE SESSION
The session usually lasts 2 hours. We will begin by casually conversing over the reasons why you're looking for guidance. Whilst actively listening to your story I will hear more than words. Runic energies will begin to present themselves to me through your words, feelings and the energy you use to describe the situation, which embellish your story with more information.
After talking we cast the runes on a rune cloth to gain a runic perspective. This part of the process continues to be conversational as i interpret what the runes reveal about your situation.
We will then discuss what has been revealed in more detail, ensuring you have clarity and an understanding of how to use the runic energies that are helpful to you.
Lots of information can come up in a rune reading, so if it feels good to you, it is suggested to take notes. After the reading you will receive a picture of your reading and a brief audio or video summary of the key aspects.
THE SPACE
The word rune means secret, when working with the runes the unknown can become known so it's important that you are comfortable enough to seek, hear and question the information that can arise from a rune reading. To help you feel more comfortable you can choose the space. Maybe this is from the comfort of your own home through video on phone call, or perhaps down the pub or on the wild landscape of Dartmoor if you are willing to travel. The space will be held informally to begin with but how we proceed is up to you. We can continue informally, drop into ritual or create a sacred space, which ever feels best to you. All the details of your reading will be arranged before the session.

Rune readings are great for discovering guidance you may need on a situation. They are also a great way of experiencing runic wisdom and how nature and Dartmoor has inspired my understanding of the runes.
