My Approach - The Runes In Nature
My personal experience with my ritual was rough, flawed, edgy and half the time I felt lost and confused but when I went for a walk in nature or on Dartmoor things made more sense. I saw the runes in perfection, I saw the runes in nature. In its beauty I saw Feoh, in the land I saw Ur, in the Gorse, bramble and Hawthorn I saw Thorn, each tree and plant having the individuality of Aesc and so on… I saw that the runes described the process a plant went through to grow just as easily as they described how our minds work. To the language of the runes we were no different from nature.

The runes aren’t just a divinatory tool, they explain the natural phenomena we see in the world around us and most importantly the world within us. We are not separate from nature, whether we currently perceive it or not we are a part of the cycle of nature. Perhaps we can only perceive that as birth and death, but they are many more cycles that range from very small and fast to much longer and bigger. All these cycles are a part of the wider universe and the universe as a whole, everything we know and are is a part of the Web of Wyrd.

There is a language that helps us to connect to this web and cycles, through this connection to the Wyrd we grow as people. This language is that of the Runes, the Wyrd segmented into discrete energies that we can relate to in a very real and personal way. A language that describes the fundamental forces of the universe and the processes at work. The more we work with the Runes the more we find a language to journey into ourselves and grow, the more we grow as people the more connected we become to the Wyrd, nature and the world around us.

Through, feeling, conversation, nature connection, meditation, chanting, guided and unguided visualisation, I facilitate a journey into nature, the runes and the self. I teach outdoor self-reliance skills so we can be in and stay with nature whatever the conditions. I guide into the meaning of a rune in nature and into your own personal meaning of the rune relevant to your unfolding journey. Seeing the meaning of the runes within you and the meaning of the runes in nature, the journey takes you into those meanings becoming more closely aligned and as such you become closer to nature, the nature of yourself and your path within the web may be revealed.
