The Futhark Journey
The Futhark journey is an epic 1 or 2 year, adventure spanning all of Dartmoor. Meandering the contemporary and ancient paths of the moors you will delve into the meaning of the runes within nature and self.
Revered for the huge level of commit to self and process this journey will challenge you in ways you can’t yet imagine,
everyone who has undertaken this journey at some point has reached an edge and wanted to give up.
You will need bravery, will and commitment to self to learn the meaning behind how Odin discovered the runes by giving himself to himself.
Through 26 journeys on Dartmoor you will learn to navigate the whole moor by sight and skills to find direction when lost. Self reliance skills will allow you to move from appropriate levels of comfort and discomfort in all conditions, so you can meditate, explore, create ritual and work in relation with the land and self, embracing lessons the ancient moor god Old Crockern deems appropriate.
You don't have to be heathen or norse to do a Futhark journey, in fact most of the Futhark Alumni have come from other spiritual or non spiritual backgrounds than those of paganism or heathenry, the Futhark journey is open to all. The concepts described by the runes and norse deities lend themselves to everyone and everything. every Futhark journey is bespoke. What the jounrey is can only be described as your journey.

You will be offered opportunities to meet many friends along the way, Frey, Freya, Heimdall, Loki, Tyr, Hel, the norns, wights and many more. You'll discover your Orlog, Wyrd, how your Orlog weaves with the wyrd so you can meet destiny and causality with runic skills to shape your own path.
Between each Rune walk on Dartmoor you'll have access to over 250 audios to guide and deepen your understanding of each Rune and the runic process, with the potential of seeing the unfolding patterns within the Wyrd itself.
By opening yourself up to the Futhark journey you are inviting in runic energies into your life that can shape your everyday experiences, with regular runic mentoring between each walk, you'll be supported to get the best out of your unique Futhark journey.
